Why Canada

An education decision—not just a destination.

Choose Canada for the programme, learning model and community that support your goals, rather than relying on rankings or recruitment claims alone.

Recognised qualifications

Choose academic, technical and career-focused credentials offered by universities, colleges, polytechnics and specialised schools.

Flexible pathways

Move from diplomas to degrees, combine classroom learning with applied projects or continue into postgraduate study.

Work-integrated learning

Compare co-op, internships, practicums and employer projects—while checking whether placements are competitive or guaranteed.

Diverse communities

Study in a major city, regional centre or smaller campus community with different costs, services and labour markets.

English and French

Explore English, French and selected bilingual programmes, including Quebec’s distinctive education environment.

Transparent planning

Verify DLI status, exact programme eligibility, full cost and official immigration requirements before committing.

Each pathway serves a different academic objective, timeline and career direction.

During your studies

Working while studying

Eligible students may currently work off campus for up to 24 hours per week during regular academic terms and unlimited hours during scheduled breaks.

  • Work conditions must appear on the study permit.
  • You must remain eligible and actively pursue studies.
  • Employment and income are never guaranteed.
After graduation

Post-graduation planning

PGWP eligibility depends on the exact programme, level, length and current rules—not simply on attending a Canadian school.

  • Confirm programme eligibility before enrolment.
  • Review field-of-study and language requirements.
  • Watch application deadlines and passport expiry.

Common questions about studying in Canada.

Do all Canadian schools qualify graduates for a PGWP?

No. A school may be a Designated Learning Institution while some or all programmes are not PGWP-eligible. Confirm the exact programme.

Can international students work while studying?

Eligible students may work under the conditions of their study permit. Current rules generally allow up to 24 hours of eligible off-campus work per week during regular terms.

Is college always cheaper than university?

Often, but not always. Compare the full programme cost, length, city, mandatory fees and credential value.

Does studying in Canada guarantee permanent residence?

No. Admission, study permits, work permits and permanent residence are separate decisions with different requirements.
